High res boot picture for UEFI boards?

Hi everyone.

I'm new to these forums so let me first say hello.

I want to customize the booting picture for the computers I build with my logo. I'm currently using UEFI mobos only, and I understand these are capable of higher resolution and deeper bit depth at boot. Is that right? Can I use a 1920x1080/24bpp picture on a recent Sandy Bridge motherboard, for instance? Is it also possible to mod the pictures and logos INSIDE the UEFI menus?
