Thankyou for your reply TheWiz this is my first bios update that has gone very wrong, here are further details as requested
HP Pavillion DV6 2114TX
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...98614#N695
Bios F.1C A direct download
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48953.exe
I have been trying the past few weeks to resolve it, I initially came across this thread as the bios is the same,
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Te...63CF1C-bin
I have even tried using camiloml's bios package without success, and unfortunately there are no dos based tools that will allow for reflashing, flashrom, phlash, flashit and uniflash.
Inside the bios download package are 2 .bin files, 363CF1C.bin & 3658F1C.bin, and if I am not mistaken one is for intel video and the other nvidia, mine is the nvidia, I have tried all possible combinations from the below platform.ini using .bin .fd .rom without success in the root of a usb stick, one interesting thing is with andy's tool it shows the recovery filenames as E.BIN C.BIN C.BIN.
I have also tried this without any luck, and I do not have or know where to obtain any .sig files or what the bios should be named exactly for the HP_TOOLS, Bios, Current, New, Previous method, as I can boot into the EFI System Diagnostics from a usb using F2 with the files present, any suggestions and insight are most welcome.
Thanks in advance Blake
