My motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3) just got an upgrade to UEFI a few days ago. I thought "great, I'll install it." Upgraded to UEFI and all seemed well initially - then I realized that my overclocking ability got absolutely destroyed.
I can't change my CPU's DVID now. The option is there, but it is grayed out. LLC has completely disappeared, but isn't as much of a concern since I never used it.
Is it possible to re-enable DVID somehow? Some people have suggested that I need to set my CPU's VID to "normal" to enable DVID option use - the issue is that there is no "normal" voltage for Sandy Bridge CPUs. On unlocked CPUs, each multiplier has a unique VID attached to it. Also as a result of this, I don't have direct control of the CPU's VCore - I just control it through offsets that I can't access.
