ASUS P5lD2 SE AHCI Mod needed. Please ;)

I´ve a P5LD2 SE. This Board supports with older Biosversions AHCI. In new Versions its dissabled. But i need it for my SSD
An older Bios with AHCI doesn´t support my C2D

In newer Biosversions, the "SATA Mode" is avaible, but no AHCI... Its a useless Menupoint...

Please can anyone unlock the Menupoint for me?

Ists the ICH7, but inofficial is AHCI IMHO (and in Googles) possible.

I purchased a SSD yesterday but it seems that in order to activate trim I should activate AHCI in the bios but it's stuck in standard IDE.

Can someone mod the bios in the first post? I would be really grateful.

Hi

Picked up an old Asus PC for $20 about a week ago.

Everything works. Added a 500GB HDD and an old Samsung 192GB SSD. Also has 4GB DDR2 RAM (maximum allowed).

Now trying to install Windows 7 32bit, BUT IT IS INCREDIBLY SLOW!!! It took like 25 minutes to get to 75% when copying Windows 7 files from the USB to SSD.

Even the when starting up the PC, the text from the BIOS screen showing whats happening just barely chugs along. Like the text on the screen updates slowly.

Can anyone explain what is happening?
