I'm calling on anyone with knowledge of the HP/Insyde system to please consider looking into a mod for these systems. Since they are now coming with both touch and non-touch, they will be around a lot longer, with Win 8.1 being shoved down our throats in the next two years and near impossibility of installing Windows 7 without losing functionality/driver support.
With the new Haswell chips (specifically the i7-4700MQ and up) it would be great to see an unlocked Bios allowing us to change the voltage for both the chipset and the memory.
The current BIOS is also a real pain when taking out the OEM HDD's and installing your own SSD's regardless of UEFI secure/legacy adjustments.
As mentioned at the beginning, it makes it especially difficult to use generic Win7 drivers if you simple cannot tolerate Win8.
I'm willing to offer a slightly used but fully operational Intel 520 SSD 240GB with 3 years left on it's Warranty to anyone who can pull this off WITHOUT bricking my system.
