Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 420 with this motherboard, and I am trying to use unbuffered DDR2 ECC with this. The system refuses to boot with the ECC memory, but I'm pretty sure this is a soft lock, and there must be something in the BIOS preventing it from doing so.
It's true that Registered ECC memory is incompatible, but ordinary unbuffered ECC should work (And in fact, I have used unbuffered DDR3 ECC RAM on a motherboard with a chipset that didn't support ECC at all).
Can someone please take a look at the memory section of the BIOS for some sort of restriction?
