Hello,
A very weird problem:
My laptop went for a screen replacement, and after that, Intel HD graphics gives a black screen on boot.
The replaced screen in compatible, but not the exact same which I had before.
Booting with the inbuilt VGA driver works fine. I don't know if the Motherboard was damaged during the damage or software problem.
I installed Ubuntu and everything works fine. I'm able to even play games like counter strike, etc.
So, it narrows down to software problem. Hence I tried everything, 3 clean installs, Installing on a new HDD, different editions of windows, etc. Still same problem.
Brings me to this conclusion:
The hardware ID on the BIOS or somewhere does not match the current Hardware ID of this monitor....
Although, if that's the case, the screen should not work at all.. but it does with the normal drivers.
Very confused..
Any help appreciated ! Undecided
