request Fujitsu SiemensD2812 A2 BIOS modd
#1
Hello,
I hope I opened request in the right place.
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo P7935 E-star4 (mboard is D2812 A2) and bought a LGA771 Xeon CPU
The CPU is modified to able to place in the board, and it fit, but need cpu microcode

CPU: Quad-CoRE XeoN x3363 | 4x 2,83GHz | 12MB L2 | 80W

BIOS can be found here
http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/ShowFiles.asp

But I could not found usable format

I have backed up the bios from flash(attached)

My request is to insert CPU microcodes(attached) into the BIOS... I couldn't do it...

Thanks in advance

- I downloaded USB flash fom Fujitsu site
- extract it
- got a file named D2812_A2.OCF
- extract BIOS from it with snipac
- check microcode in it
Intel Microcode List ver0.4a

Helolo from Schnuffi0

I giot the same problem..
Either, snipc ( phoedeco ) stops with an runtime error, or cbrom195.exe doe not do anything ( either not with the OCF - file, or an uncompressed file.

Tried many things, but couldn't geth it wirking.

Target is, to add the Xeon CPU's L5410 and X5460 to the Bios for D2812-A2 ( Fujitsu Esprimo P7935 )

any help welcome.

can I insert or change the cpuid#s microcodes directly within the bios with an editor ( and how) if the simplier way with cbrom195 will not work ?

Thanksnd advance !

Look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-F...520?page=4

And try this one :

Flash - Firmware - ESPRIMO P7935 (D2812-A1x)

http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Download/S...DBA8131FE7

Download and run it. Check up "File Extraction", use button "Browse" to navigate
to your bootable DOS-Flash (or diskette), press "OK".
Overwrite files.
Shutdown your system, install new CPU, boot from your DOS-device.
It should be update microcodes for current CPU.
Restart system.
Post results please !

P.S. Write a PM to DeatBringer Wink
