Greetings from Canada!
I'm working with an ancient HP NC8230 running Win XP in order to support some ancient hardware/serial port. It is what it is...at least it's not steam powered.
This beast uses Mini-PCI (full size!) WiFi cards; my selection is quite limited. I've got a Atheros AR9223 sitting here which I'd like to get going, to support N speeds. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with this Whitelist nonsense
Here's a link to Insyde F.18 BIOS:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45086.exe
Hardware ID of Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG
Device Instance ID:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_12F5103C&REV_05\4&AD1B67F&0&20F0
Hardware IDs:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_12F5103C&REV_05
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_12F5103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&CC_0280
If one of you amazing gurus is able to remove the whitelist for me, it would really make my day.
I did spend time searching the forums, but the link that was posted about six years ago is dead.
Thank you so much.
