Questions about what is in the Bios Repo

Hi all

I am new here and am trying to enable use of an external gpu on my HP G62-234DX with Insyde f.37(sp52604) bios and have a few general bios modding questions.

1.      I see in the bios repository (which is awesome by the way) that a menu unlock bios exists for sp52604 but it is listed as “sp52604_142xOnly” will this work on my laptop? I am not sure what the” _142” refers to.
 
2.      The above bios is also listed as a Ulk Menus, will this just enable the advance menu tab? I believe my problem is due to my bios having a white list for pcie cards. Which is the method I want to connect my egpu with so do I need a bios that specifically removes white list?
