Hi there!
I have a Dell Latitude D620 running BIOS A10. It appears that it runs the hard drive in compatibility mode, and does not expose a method of enabling AHCI support. The chipset is ICH7-M/U, which as far as I know supports AHCI if it's -M, and does not if it's -U. Windows Device Manager specifies that it's ICH7-M, which should support AHCI. It's slightly newer cousin, the D630, has a BIOS option exposing AHCI support as far as I know.
Is it possible to expose an option in the BIOS to enable AHCI support?
Thank you!
