Hello to all,
I have been trying to use EXP GDC interface with my old M11X r2, hoping to review it with a more powerful eGPU... It is possible to connect eGPU via single mini PCIe slot by removing DELL Wifi card, however it is very complicated as laptop must be started with Wifi card, then once booting is over (past BIOS) card must be unplugged and EXP GDC connector goes in... If laptop started without Wifi card, mini PCIE is turned off and OS doesn't recognizes new device...Quite frustrating and dangerous. It will be excellent if somehow whitelist can be removed from the BIOS file so EXP GDC can be properly used.
Model: Alienware m11x R2
Latest BIOS file: ftp://ftp.dell.com/bios/R289597.exe
other BIOS versions: http://alienwareusersupport.weebly.com/m11x-r22.html
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
