Dear All,
I have a Fujitsu Celsius M730 Worksation with the following bios (I believe the latest available bios version)
Type: AMI BIOS /ACPI 2.0
Vendor: FUJITSU // American Megatrend Inc
Version:V4.6.5.4 R1.8.0 for D3128-A2x
In bios there is no option for setting the cpu multiplier. It looks like a pretty basic bios without any freq/voltage/latency options.
Is that possible to enable these options (or at least the cpu multiplier)? I have no idea how one modify a simple bios code.
My aim is to overclock a xeon, here is a forum where people say the E5-1620V2 is unlocked:
https://forums.servethehome.com/index.ph...ier.15983/
Also the behavior of this mobo is very weird. According to ark.intel website, the e5-1620v2 has a maximum turbo of 3900 Mhz (39x100). But, I have never seen my processor over 3700MHz (on any core). In the mobo's spec ( from Fujistu's datasheet [attached]) these xeons are locked to predefined clocks, specificaly the e5-1620v2 has a maximum of 3700MHz as you can see in the attachment. Even if the turbo boost v2 is enabled in the bios the cpu freq never goes over 3700MHz. Bios performance profile is set to ferformace. It seems speed step is working well, and I can also turn it off by disabling some c-states. cpu-z shows multiplier between 12-39.
Any help is appreciated.
