is there a possibility to modify bios to support the 16 GB Ram stick? See below for more information.

PC: ASUS UX501 JW
Goal:
Upgrade ram from 16 GB to 24 GB by replacing the 8GB RAM stick with Crucial CT204864BF160B 16GB.
Required ram: DDR3(L) 1600Mhz

Required ram: DDR3(L) 1600Mhz
Current :
- 8 GB RAM DDR3 1600Mhz soldered
- 8 GB RAM DDR3 1600Mhz on extra slot ( Samsung: 8GB 2Rx8 PC3L )
- i7 - 4720 HQ
- Bios Version: 212 (latest)
- Bios recognizes 24 GB RAM just displays the total amount
- RAM available on Linux (Ubuntu 19.04) and Windows 10 is 8 GB
- CPU-Z Displays 16 GB total memory (as before upgrading)
- CPU-Z Displays 16 GB Ram stick on slot 3 (previously 8 GB Ram on slot 1
