Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire 5734z-4512 from 2010 with the PAWF5106 (Version 1.06) BIOS. This is an InsydeH2O V3.5 based BIOS. I tried loading the .fd file into EzH2O 2.1.0.4, however it hangs while loading and eventually says it has run out of memory, even on my desktop with 16GB of memory. I can't find any newer versions of EzH2O around either. I'd like to unlock the advanced menu. If possible, it'd be nice to see if I could also add support for more than 4GB of RAM, however, I'm not sure if this is a hardware limitation or a BIOS limitation.
There are other laptops that use this BIOS too, according to this thread. Although there don't seem to be any current downloads from that thread that are still up. I'd be very grateful if someone is able to either unlock the BIOS, or help me figure out why it won't load into EzH2O/provide a newer version it will load into.
Here is a zip, directly from Acer's site, containing the BIOS. PAWF5106.fd can be extracted from either the DOS folder, or within the installer executable in the zip file.
Here is what my BIOS setup screen looks like:
Thank you all for any help! I think it's really cool that this community exists!
