I have a notebook ASUS G51JX, which supports legacy BIOS only
I tried open its BIOS file using a modified AMIBCP v4.53, and I could see a "UEFI Boot" in Boot Section.
When I changed the "Default" to "USER" and flashed the modified BIOS file, I could see the "UEFI Boot" option in the BIOS and set its value frome Disabled to Enabled.
However, although I could boot a Windows 10 ISO burnt into a flash disk in UEFI mode, create ESP and MSR partitions just like under normal UEFI BIOS, it would get a BSOD immediately after begining installation.
It seems the BSOD occurs when writing to UEFI boot option.
So, please, is it possible to unlock UEFI support in this BIOS? Thanks very much.
I saw only one option ("UEFI Boot") related with UEFI in "Setup Configuration", but there were many contents about UEFI/EFI in "BIOS Strings"
The BIOS can be downloaded frome here, ASUS G60Jx and G51Jx uses the same MB.
