[HELP] How do I know if a BIOS file is able to be flashed by a EEPROM programmer?

Hello! I recently fried my bios chip for a motherboard (flipped the orientation...) luckily, I got a archive of the bios file from the manufacturers website, along with a new 1Mbit Flash chip to use, and a minipro. The problem is I don't know if the file is compressed or modified in anyway that makes it so that it is not able to be flashed on, I don't have a lot of experience on this subject, so any help is appreciated!
