Hi all,
I tried to unlock hidden BIOS feature using this tool: https://github.com/DavidS95/Smokeless_UMAF
The tool did its job, i suspect. Now Windows does not boot anymore. Most of the times just black screen after Lenovo logo. In rare cases I get blue recovery screen, but then next screen stays black. Bios update is only possible from Windows executable file. I can not boot Windows.
However, I can still use shell.efi from https://github.com/tianocore/edk2/blob/U.../Shell.efi. I can see that there is a file
"FS0:\efi\Lenovo\SelfHealing.fd", size 32kB. I suppose this is bios backup.
Is there any possible way to update Insyde bios from efi shell?
Update:
I can run flash utility from Windows recovery shell. But that does not fix my misconfiguration. I suspect NVRAM area does not get written. Is there any way to force "update NVRAM from old backup"?
Best regards,
murks009
