Hello,
I recently got a Gigabyte GA-X99-Ultra Gaming Mainboard, paired with a 40 Lane CPU (6850k) and would like to use 4x4x4x4 bifurcation in one of the 16x PCIe Slot, but I don't get it working.
I used the Intel fpt tool and got a dump of the current bios version (latest). In there (in the Chipset section) I found the IIO Section with IIO0-II01. In there I can select 4x4x4x4 bifurcation. But from there on I don't get any further. When I try to use fpt to flash the new bios, nothing happens.
When I used Uefi Tool to get the var_offset (it's values between 0x531 and 0x538) and then use grub setup_var to set the according values, still nothing happens. I can dump the BIOS and get all the configured values, but nothing is actually applied. Any ideas on this?
