HP Elitedesk 800 G3 SFF & Xeon E3-1245 v6
#1
Hello.

I have a HP elitedesk 800g3 SFF with a i5 6500 CPU (the 800g3 supports kabylake processors au to i7 7700) but I want to upgrade to a E31245 v6 (also kaby lake).

Does anybody make BIOS mod in this HW or similar from HP to update microcode?
Any chance to be modded?
Must i make a more formal petition here with bios link and so?

Thanks

Try to replace ME-region to 11.8.77.3664 COR by CoffeeTime.
And disable it.

Is this message for me?
I've been reading about this tool CoffeeTime and seems to work to modify microcodes in bios.

You don't need to modify any microcodes but need to replace and disable ME-region.

But the BIOS does not have the microcodes for these Xeon....True or I'm wrong?

Can you please guide me a little more? or perhaps an url for a guide.
I've been reading this https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/showthre...?tid=35375, and seems to point to add microcodes.

I guess I must dump (or get the bios from HP) to open with Coffeetime 0.99 and then do the action you proposed, but how can I flash the modded bios....
Sorry but I'm not very used to do this kind of tasks....

Thanks

Use a hardware programmer.
