Sleep Mode

I'm using an ASUS P5kc motherboard and sleep mode was working perfectly in windows 7. I then crossflashed it to the ASUS P5kr BIOS in order to obtain AHCI capabilities, but this caused ethernet problems so I crossflashed back. I used a tool called kodakey for both of these flashes. After flashing back and booting up into windows 7 whenever I try and put it into sleep mode the screen goes black but instead of the computer shutting off a few seconds pass and the screen comes back on like it just woke from sleep mode. If anyone has any ideas I'd be extremely appreciative. Thanks.
