Intel i855GM/GME support for 533MHz FSB Pentium M

I'm just wondering, would a laptop whose motherboard has an Intel i855GM/GME chipset theoretically be able to support a 533MHz FSB Pentium M? I tried this with my laptop (an Acer TravelMate 4502LMi which has this chipset), and it doesn't seem to work, but I'm thinking that this may be more of a BIOS limitation than a chipset limitation. I just want to know because I want to get an extra bit of speed out of this laptop, and I'm too cheap to buy a new one. XD

855 based chipset shouldnt pose a problem motherboard wiring and the pll should be of concern .the integrated video should be running on agp so it shouldnt be affected if you have the proper dividers
