Hi,
I tried updating the bios in my Acer Aspire M3100 with the bios on this thread.
Now when I turn my PC on the CD-ROM drive flashes for about 10 seconds and nothing else happens.
When I opened the bios file using HxD Hex editior I noticed there was a line "Detecting USB floppy drive media....". So I wondered if it was possible to recover using a USB drive. So I basically followed this guide and used the latested bios for my model from acer, which didn't work.
I'm stuck for ideas and I don't want to have to buy a new BIOS or mobo. Do I need to name the Bios file something like awdbios.rom for it to work or is possible to fix it using a DVD+RW?
