Sony PCV-W1/G BIOS

I have a Sony PCV-W1/G desktop with corrupt BIOS. Has anyone who has got the same PC willing to email or upload a backup BIOS file?

I have tried all the usual avenues, such as Sony's website, my local Sony dealer and searching the web. Although Sony dealers do have these files they insist that the PC is shipped to them so that they can flash the BIOS themselves. The shipping costs alone are more than the value of the PC!

Failing that, I can access the Sony's hard drive on another PC but so far I haven't been able to find a backup file on the drive. Does anybody know whether a BIOS backup file would be saved by default on the disc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
