Hello BDMaster,
I recently bought a y50-70 myself. Could you please remove the whitelist for me?

I already downgraded my bios to 9ECN30WW (V1.13)
The model is y50-70 with a "Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160" adapter. I want to upgrade to the 7265 dual ac adapter.

The results are here

The backup is here

Please Downgrade to previous version (unlocked) and redo thr result file !

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

nop

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working

Then use this tool run It as Admin and upload the result file here :

Hi,
The machine accepted the wifi card. But now i have troubles with my graphics card. I get a "code 43, windows stopped this device because of an error". Can that be because of the bios version??

thank you

p.s.
The graphic card doesn't work at al with the 1.13 bios.
It's the GTX 960m card.

Sad so if i must choose. I go for my graphic card Tongue

Just tried some stuff, thought you might want to know.
bios 1.13 doesn't work at all with the GTX 960 driver.
the custom driver doesn't work in combination with the gtx.

bios version 2.01 works like a charm.

in all the bios versions i completely uninstalled the drivers using "Display Driver Uninstaller". Then I installed the drivers from the lenovo site. Also i tried the drivers from the nividia site. Those are worse than the lenovo versions.

Is there a possibility to hack the new bios version? I don't know how you do it at all, just wondering.

I hope you find this information useful in any way. If you have any questions, i'm eager to help.
