Thank you very much.
Apologies for sounding painfully like an idiot.
I am just unsure as to how to flash the new BIOS. On the BIOS Update page, it mentions the AWARD, AMI and PHOENIX flash tools, I am just unsure as to how to get this to work for a Lenovo laptop.
Sorry, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Read some Posts before ! Best is to Downgrade to 1.30 or 1.31 Bios !
How To Downgrade :
snebob
Run this to downgrade:
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe
Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.
nop
I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.
Download the 1.14 version
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe
Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.
Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !
Verified working
You have to use this tool run It as Admin and upload the result file here :

Hi,
Or is it just possible to remove the whitelist from the v2.01, because i have the pulsating/clicking fan problem on v1.14. Or will be there an option in the advanced menu(unlocked bios) to control the fan?
Thanks again
EDIT:
THANK YOU . Will test it later.

Ok You can flash the Bios Mod v.201 over the v.1.14 this is the only way to flash the Bios Mod v.201 !
You will get the the Bios Modded, but It will get an disalignement with EC Code (It will remain
version of Bios v.1.14), so just to let You know !
To flash this bios Mod You have to Downgrade to version 1.14 before apply It !

Edit Reason: pulsating/clicking fan still appears
)
Ok. Thank you . So should i flash first the modded v1.14 and then the modded v2.01 over it or is it enough to do the downgrade and flash the modded v2.01 over it?
EDIT:
So first i flashed the modded v1.14 and then i flashed the modded v2.01. Everything seems fine so far, BUT i have still the problem with the pulsating/clicking fan . So is there a possibility to fix that?
