leave it 1 minute without cmos battery, and then reasembly the unit.
Nooop - I assume, he has UEFI bios , this means that removing battery will only reset a system clock. All the setup data are stored in nvram. You need to reflash bios with /cvar key from recovery - don't see other way
Unless you are able to uefi boot some how from recovery, start UEFI shell and make dh +bcfg trick
