i'm looking for a custom bios for my acer ao532h netbook. i have downloaded and installed a custom bios from http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-As...-there-one but this one only have some basic options about power saving states and SpeedStep...
i would like to change things like memory timing, fsb clock and multiplier, fan speed options and other advanced settings, but neither the original bios nor the modded bios from the other thread have these options... can someone help me?
I upgraded the screen from the original one to one with a higher res and I think the new display may be white-listed. I have looked into trying this myself but it seems way over my head. The original display was a 1024x600 AUO B101AW03 V.0 and I installed a 1280x720 AUO B101EW02 V.0.
The problem is I show a screen of 1024x600 in the upper right hand corner, then a large line, then the screen duplicates below it for the remaining space. Windows does the same thing, however, if I boot into Ubuntu the screen works fine. I don't understand what windows and the bios are doing differently and why as soon as linux boots the whole thing works perfect. Normally I would just use Ubuntu but this netbook was purchased to do vehicle pcm tuning and the software doesn't run properly on linux and its not worth bricking a pcm. Please somebody help!
Will donate if someone can make this work correctly for me.
Please let me know if there is anything else needed. I will try my best to get it.

try doing this:
1 - run the Registry Editor (regedit.exe);
2 - browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and find the value Display1_DownScalingSupported;
3 - double-click, replace 0 by 1, click Ok;
4 - now browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{E1831B0A-E3AB-442B-8773-A2CE7F671A79}\0000, find the value Display1_DownScalingSupported and replace 0 by 1;
5 - restart your computer, go to the video settings and ta-da!!

Ok friend,
It's Packard Bell Dot S2 - Acer One 532H (are the same)
Bios v. 1.26 NAV50.fd Menu Unlocked Advanced + Power :
So download file unpack by Winrar or 7vzip and rename as original Acer bios file, then replace original with it and flash your eeprom by InsydeFlash.exe in Windws folder, (remember to flash before original if your actual is below version).
Let me know, please upload some screen shots to see if there all unlocked !
regards
