@xp4ever Unfortunatley HP and Insyde decided to remove nearly all EFI booting functions from their older bios. Eventhough this option exists in your bios, it doesn't do anything...I've gone down this road personaly

Thank You for your answer! So can i be sure that uefi installing is not possible on this NB, just MBR partition legacy mode installing? Is that right?
Thx

Yes, that's correct. I did manage to get it to boot into EFI by tricking the HP Diagnostic Utility, which you can see here, but any modifications done to the boot device menu weren't displayed and there were a lot of problems. So it was a very non-ideal/annoying way to boot into EFI. I'm using legacy and MBR right now.

Hi! I have a HP CQ56-134CA. Yesterday it gave a problem and I opened it and repaired it. But the major problem is that Its BIOS IC got shorted and the new IC which I am getting is blank. I want to flash the new IC with SPIPGM and need a bios file which should be in .bin format and should contain all ME and Descriptor regions so that I can program the new ic and get the laptop working back again.
Any Help would be appreciated...
Here is the original bios link from HP: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52501-53000/sp52622.exe

Thank you so much for the quick reply! Just to verify, Will these BIOS flashers work with Windows 7? Do I just run the .exe? If I upgrade my processor, will the BIOS still be compatible? And If for some weird reason, My laptop becomes bricked, is there a way to recover it? Sorry for these dumb questions, I'm a HUGE noob when it comes to BIOS modding, I just want to make sure that these will work. Thanks again.

Ok friend,
look here for Recovery Procedure, there is a Donovan's Guide :
http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...overy.html
Download here your HP BIOS Update UEFI Tool :
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...30&sw_lang=
Here your Bios v.F.15 sp52622.exe Recovery Files ready to use :
http://rghost.net/56171726
Create your USB Stick by HP BIOS Update UEFI Tool and rename USB Stick as HP_TOOLS, then copy the two Recovery Files into root of USB Stick and reboot from USB !
Try this procedure to check if It works and be sure that You can Recover your laptop !
Let me know

Alright, I flashed the BIOS of the first link ( http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS/index.php?...miloml.exe) and it worked perfectly, nothing was wrong, no bricks or anything. I now have access to a little more stuff like USB boot and such. So does this mean that my BIOS can be unlocked?
