Glad to see that we can flash a modded Bios without external Hardware programmer on this
Lenovo flex 2 model.
You do a great job to help people :-)
We have a french topic lenovo flex 2 on this forum:
http://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/Ordinateurs...4416_1.htm
And some Members want to replace the original wifi card.
Which would be nice, would be to remove the whitelist checking in Bios.
Like this, everyone could use the modded Bios without worrying about the model of the new wireless card.
(boring to change the PCI/VEN value for each person - Better have a generic modded bios for all members)
Model Chip W25Q64BV (same that striimer)
Last Bios for Lenovo Flex 2 (14" - 15" Haswell model):
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn28ww.exe
Can you help us please to remove the Whitelist Checking in the Bios ? :-)
Many members will appreciate your help :-)
Thanks
PS: result fptw64 -i
Ok try this one Bios Mod Generalized for all users :

Thanks for the hard work!, Looks like the Flex2 14 and 15 share the same BIOS, i noticed that Lenovo has just released a few days ago a newer release, the readme says that the following improvements were made since the version you "patched" was released.
Code: Release History
A0CN31WW¡G
1. Update BIOS version to A0CN31WW.
2. Support INT15 9610 0013 0 0 to get OS Optimized Defaults.
Input AX = 9610, BX = 0013
Return CX = default OS, 0:win8, 1: other OS
3. Update NV vBIOS N15S-GT Single Rank 82.08.14.00.70_SingleRank.
4. Checksum: A0CN31WW.IMC -0x5EDDC230-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A0CN30WW:
1. Update BIOS version to A0CN30WW.
2. Remove unused dimm channel.(from 4 to 2).
3. TDKpacker instruction guide - UEFI security vulnerabilities.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A0CN29WW:
1. Update BIOS version to A0CN29WW.
2. Workaround for S4 longrun issue with Haswell QS 3558 CPU.
3. Checksum: A0CN29WW.IMC -0x5EDE4C7D-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you create a patched version with the whitelist removal with this version ?
It can be downloaded from:
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe
Please note that there are 2 different BIOS depending if your laptop has Haswell or BayTrail Intel CPUs the ones here are for Haswell
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the speedy response, so to make it clear, this modded bios removes the whitelist so i can install any wifi/bt card of my choosing, correct ? Does it also enables Advanced Menu ?
Second question:
When you say it's only for my laptop do you mean that's only for my laptop model, and anyone with the same laptop can use it, or is it somehow tied to this particular laptop ?
Thanks a lot!

just a little 'oops'
in bios it now says Windows Licence no dpk......this might be a problem when we need to reinstall.
exit: just checked, windows is no longer activated.
