OK, thanks a lot...Ever If the BIOS will be able to mod - as far as I concert it's very hard to do OC with that CPU what I got.
If the Phenom II support will be able to (but can I put Phenom II on my mobo even if BIOS will be change - can anybody answer to my about that), I will be greatfull.
THX for you time and waitnig to reply about Phenom II support.

I've got the same mobo and I've been trying to get some response from HP, asus, and AMD, but nobody wants to step up and say that the Phenom II Deneb 945 will work. There is a 95W version( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103809&cm_re=AMD_Phenom_II_X4_945_Deneb_3.0GHz_4_x_512KB_L2_Cac-_-19-103-809-_-Product). Would this eliminate the kick-down in the multiplier? Also would there be any bottlenecks with the mobo or the memory? I'd hate to put this thing in and have it limited. Thanks in advance.

OK. Here are some reasons why it WILL work:
Any board that supports Phenom I has native support for phenom II, regardless of the unknown CPU issue. As long as you have a Phenom II that has 95WTDP or less you will be fine, because that is within the same power requirement that the board currently uses with the Phenom I. Because its AMI, its way harder to integrate an updated AGESA to get the right CPU name, but some motherboards may already show the names right. So, I will check out to see if the proccessor will identify, but again all lights look green over here.
Tell me if I'm missing something,

I belive thay U wrote on my topic as well on the HP Forum (my nick there is: Tedeusz13).
Please let know, did U bought other fan for the CPU with 3 PIN and how it's doin. I belive, that in BIOS shows UNKNOW, but how about Windows (score in Vista or 7)?! And the speed of working (game tec.)
The temp is OK, al long is not above 71, I don't know whitch CPU U got, but here is spec from AMD site:

I am not a computer guy by any means shape or form. I am experiencing a problem with getting my AMD Phenom II X4 Processor (3.2 Ghz Black Edition Quad Core OPN: HDZ955FBMBOX) to work in my HP Pavillion A6530F Desktop PC.
I installed the CPU as per directions and fired up the computer. It booted normally, but slightly more slowly. I went to the Windows Experience Monitor and hit refresh, only to see my CPU performance drop from 5.2 to 4.7. In the Control Panel, it showed the processor specs as a AMD unknown model running at 803Mhz. I checked the drivers page and it shows all 4 drivers. I also had a message that said something about the Windows Media player files not being networked...
I have not had any luck finding the proper BIOS updates though. I also need help installing the BIOS, as I have never done this in a Vista 64 machine.
The motherboard specs are: ASUS M2N68-LA and the HP motherboard name is a Narra3-GL8E
The original CPU is a Phenom-8450 2.1Ghz (95W) Socket AM2+
It has the original BIOS which reads 5.14 06/20/2008 (The only way to get the machine to go in to the boot menu was to install the original CPU)
What do I need to do to get this thing working at the advertised speed?

As warned before, most likely the CPU you put in has a TDP of 125W and is automatically being downclocked to prevent your mobo from starting on fire. TThe 125W models will destroy a 95W socket design, so if its anything more it will not work with a BIOS update or not.

So this CPU will definately not work on this motherboard? (I noticed that the fan has a 4 socket plug, but the mobo has only 3. The fan spins but it has not sped up or down with cpu load).
