Hi Alhaz,

I will get X220i in next 3 weeks, and i also had WWAN F3507G same as yours. So could you please share your experience: can you use Thinkadvance access connection with wwan F3507G? or need to use another software to control? and how about fn + f5, can use to turn off signal of this wwan or not?

Yes it works with it(if the modem is lenovo branded like mine, it was taken from older thinkpad). If its not lenovo branded then u have to hack lenovo software, you can search on google how to do it.

could you be more precise??I searched out but find nothing clear about that.
I'm buying on ebay a Sierra MC 8775 card FRU:42T0931, disclaimed for Thinkpad T61 R61 X61 X300 ... even with the hacked bios I shall hack the software as well ??
It is possible to statue if that card will work in X220 with 1.17 bios without whitelist???

When you take it from older thinkpad or buy new directly from lenovo(with lenovo sticker on it) its lenovo branded and it will work without software hacking. If the card is for example from dell or hp then you have to hack lenovos software

last question: as one can read here http://support.lenovo.com/en_AE/research...etail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-77280, lenovo provides drivers for Ericsson F5521gw / F3607gw / F3507g card.
I'm interested in 3507 card, for its great price/performance ratio.
in your opinion, it means that F3507 will works without bios hack ??

Only F5521gw / F3607gw works without bios hack. The "third" generation not ;/

Tested on X220i CTO, worked properly. Both of my Thinkpad wwan modules worked (Gobi 2000 and F3507G). To make the radio stable, you have to tap pin 20 on these wwan modules.
