Hi everyone,
I got a problem wih my actual keyboard on V3-771G (
https://www.acer.com/ac/fr/FR/content/su...t/4090?b=1)
I'm already on 2.28 bios (UEFI)
My FN keys don't work at all, I try w7,w8,w8.1, w10 even on linux live cd, and it's as if it's not detected...*
That's why I would like to flash my bios again to overwrite the fn values (because Bios registered fn keys right ?)
The bios I'm trying to use :
https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles...SC=EMEA_13
When I launch it, i got an error message saying thats it can't be upgraded because it's the same version.
in the ini, I edit the
Quote:[Bios_Version_Check]
Flag=0
CheckByBios=0
CheckByBiosErrorMessage="This BIOS file is not allow to flash. The flash process will be terminated."
;This flag is the switch of checking BIOS version.
;Flag default : 2.
; 0 : Don't check rom file version.
; 1 : Check BIOS version.
; When rom file version is older then BIOS, it will display
; a warning message and close application.
; 2 : Depend on BIOS report.
but it's like the installer don't want to use my values.
I also got the idea to edit the bin file and search in hex the 2.28 to edit it in 2.29 (spoof my version))
It seems to work because it recognize it in the installer but I'm afraid to continue and erase ...
Please guide me in this or provide me a modded bios file that will work over mine for my fn keys
Edit : Can't do recovery flash because of my fn keys doesn't work...
MANY THANKS !
