Man, I was up to thinking that "this forum I signed for getting help with unlocking my BIOS to support I7 Extreme CPUs gave me ZERO help" but I found your post today where I finally downloaded Aptio MMTool which can help me with removing and adding CPU microcodes! Horray!
BTW do you know how to use CBROM tool for checking CPU support list on AWARD BIOSes? I am thinking to take CPU microcodes from my AMI efi BIOS, then send it on AWARD BIOS and then check supported CPUs using CBROM tool. At least I heard this way. If you know how to use please help me.
If you know the easiest way also please HelpSmile

Thank You for MMTOOL!

Have Sony VAIO VPCF126FM which possibly doesn't support I7 extreme CPUs. Please HELP!

Hey guys. Great forum here. If you have had success with the P170HM(3), then this should be a breeze, amirite? This is a fairly new model.

Hello Prema,

You can use XTU v3.0 with your P170HM3(3d-enabled) laptop. You can find the .msi setup from Intel's website.

Please note: You have to uninstall XTU 2.1 (if it is installed on your system) and reboot. And then go to Device Manager and click Show Hidden Devices on View Menu. There should be an IOCBIOS with yellow exclamation mark. You should uninstall & reboot aswell.. After this, you can install v3.0
