I have just installed fresh Xubuntu 20.04 64-bit on this Ubuntu Certified netbook and it works as expected. I had originally Xubuntu 18.04 32-bit installed but Ubuntu stopped to support 32-bit systems few years back. It was originally shipped with Ubuntu 10.04 in 2012 so it is really nice that we can install latest Ubuntu on it even after 9 years. As I have only 1 GB of RAM I would not recommend to install normal Ubuntu on it. Even with Xubuntu some tweaks are needed to reduce used memory to get better performance. And I have replaced original mechanical drive with SSD drive as that can make real difference in system responsiveness.
So yes, it works and this modified BIOS is useful even in 2021 and beyond Thanks.
