Go to BIOS and do Load Defaults, save and reboot.
Make TXT-report of CPU-Z, zip it and attach to this topic.
Run msconfig.exe, go to tab Boot, click BOOT Advanced options button, make a screenshot.

Thank you for all your help.
I did have to remove the hard drive to get into the bios and I could not see anything incorrect afterwards but I did load defaults and that appears to have fixed the problem - though it did not appear to change anything that I could change via the menus.
If you are up to it - see if you can tell me what was the problem. I enclose before and after CPU-Z reports. IT would be useful to know.
