AES-NI Enabled on Y560P / Requesting Advanced Option Unlock
#31
For the modified BIOS , it was confirmed that its working perfectly with no problems ........ may be you have done something wrong or some problems happened in the flash procedure ....... or simply its not your notebook`s BIOS , just make sure your notebook is y560P not y560 .

for the recovery procedure , try using different key combinations like fn+esc , win+B and the other known combinations .

Thanks for the fast reply... I'll look into it. It really look like a power supply problem, because I'm not getting any type of power. I will keep you guys posted. I might have to send it in for repair.
Thanks!

Just to say that AES is enabled by Windows 8, even with a stock BIOS. I was a bit shocked yesterday when installing TrueCrypt to discover the option enabled by default. That's why I sensed a better performance in my external USB HD with Bitlocker and I assumed was due to Win 8 improved drivers/kernel. Some pictures of my system:

EDIT: Btw all the drivers I have are the default Win8 drivers or updated from Windows Update.

I only installed the Jmicron drivers, the Lenovo Power Manangement and official AMD Catalyst, all the other drivers come from the Win 8 DVD or Win Update
