Hello everyone, I installed this bios on my DV6 (it has an Intel Core i7 2860QM), I currently have a Broadcom 4313 wifi card that only reaches 72 Mbps.
What is the best wireless card I can install to keep wireless and bluetooth functions?
I thought of buying on the aliexpress the Intel 7260 AC card (7260HMW with bluetooth 4.0), but I saw that some people had problems, does it work properly?

Well, i buy the 2760HMW Intel card and using the bios of the first page (with the Advanced and Power menu), but the whitelist is not removed, on startup the notebook halts and show the message "Wireless Module not supported" and "Bluetooth Module ID (704)".
Unfortunately I searched the entire internet for the download with the white list unlocked but could not find. The existing links no longer exist and some others request permission.
I Give up.

Attached here for safety.
Don't forget to get your unbrickable "recovery disk" before proceeding.
If somebody could get donovan6000 latests then..
It says private. I cannot access the file.
What wireless card is everyone else using in their dv6 - 61xx series? Will the intel 8265 work?
I also noticed that my laptop becomes sluggish after the bios update. Like while loading pages in the browser and while playing AOM game. If I revert back to regular bios and change to defaults(F9), only then the smooth performance is returned. What could be going wrong? Something to do with cpu frequencies?

Hi all,
Yesterday when i changing the video out options, i changed primary to PEG and enabled the Intel card. Now i cannot enter the bios anymore, i tried to reset bios, pull out the battery and bios battery, shortcut the battery pins, wait about 12 hours but it did not work, then i tried to flash a new bios with windows + B key combination but it did not worked also. I created usb disk or HP_TOOLS partition inside the hdd but i think it does not read the usb or disks.
When i press power key, fan speeds are increasing but than stops and works again. keep looping like that. i think the notebook doesnt boot.
I think i bricked my laptop, please help...

Hi EzerchE,
I did exactly the same!
Did you manage to recover your laptop?

I tried everything like you, and also changing the CPU. No success...
Fresco USB to VGA adapter will probably not help, but I will try anyway in a few days.
I saw somewhere that the video outputs are going through the integrated GPU.
Meanwhile, I ordered USB EEPROM flasher with clips.
That is my last resort.
I will let you know if I managed to unbrick it!
I talk with a notebook service and they will try to put the bios out from motherboard, flash the original bios and solder it back. I will inform if it works.
