I've got a pavilion dv4, system board id 30F8. The links in this thread are ancient and dead, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. HP says sp51483 is my horse, but my hdd died and I'm stuck trying to install a replacement.

Has anyone opened up the advanced tab for any of the 51483 affected .fd's? I'm looking to enable/disable UEFI, and I would appreciate any help!

@ace99635 Unfortunatley Insyde and HP decided to remove nearly all UEFI booting functions from their older bios. Even if you unlocked the 'UEFI Boot' option, you'd soon be disapointed since it doesn't do anything. I've been down this road personally...
