Hello,
I apologize if this question, or contents of the question are to be self researched, yet i desperately, and immediately need an unlocked bios. As others in this thread, i have a Lenovo Y50 70, which i bought about a month ago. recently the already faulty default nic has stopped working altogether.
Any guidelines as to how to backup the bios, and how to properly flash it, as this is a concept which i'm not really familiar with. Pointers to guides would suffice, no need to explain everything to a newb
Edit:
My bios is InsydeH2O rev. 3.7
Apparently, Insyde offers no backup tool without flashing it too in the process. I'll have a look at generic bios backup tools.
Universal BIOS backuptoolkit provided me with the following ROM file. If you could provide me an unlocked version, i would be enormously grateful

Thanks in advance, and kind regards,
Tlozoot

You have ti flash this Bios Mod over a Downgrade to unlock Chip !
ow To Downgrade :
snebob
Run this to downgrade:
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe
Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.
nop
I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.
Download the 1.14 version
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe
Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.
Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !
Verified working !

Try to use the Sleep Bug before . . .
Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :
cd \
cd modified
fptw -f bios.bin -bios

1, copy ZIVY2.bin files to the U packing list and ensure no suffix in the directory name to bin the relevant documents (U disk formatted as fat or FAT32, no guide information)
2, shut down and unplug the battery, power adapter
3, insert U disk
4, do not put down the FN+R hotkey
5, insert power adapter
6, starting
7, the release of FN+R hotkey
8, the system automatically, until the end of the sound, the system will automatically restart and normal boot (this process must not be cut off!)
