[REQUEST] HP ProBook 4530s Whitelist Removal
#11
(09-05-2012, 10:18 AM)Inmike02 Wrote: Hey guys! If it is possible could someone remove the whitelist for the F.28 HP Probook 4530s BIOS?

Here is the download link for it. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5060880&prodNameId=5060887&swEnvOID=4058&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-107785-1

I am not sure if the whole list gets removed or if individual manufacturers are added. If the latter is the case then could all Broadcom cards be allowed?

Thanks in advance!!

I've seen whitelist for this model removed in the past. Only problem, it always fails after flashing.
Any Probook owner who successfully flashed modified BIOS?
What is the deal with Probooks not accepting flash even when single bit is changed?

I need to have the white list removed from the BIOS for the HP 4530S.

Here is the Hardware ID from Device Manager of the current card. I attempted to get the PCI ID of the new card but the process described, inserting the card after BIOS post and before starting Windows, didn't work for me. Replacement is the Intel 5330:
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_1461103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_1461103C
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_0280

The link to the BIOS (sp59003.exe) is:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5060880&prodNameId=5060882&swEnvOID=4059&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-109093-1

I don't think it is an RSA bios, but I could be wrong. It is an Insyde BIOS, I believe.

Many thanks in advance. I need to install a dual band card because of interference in the 2.4 GHz band.

I was wondering what the normal turn around time is to create the mod?  I am just a bit anxious to get WiDi working.
