Acer Iconia W701 hidden menu and/or video memory unlock
#1
Hello,
Here is my Acer W701 result file.

https://www.sendspace.com/file/qvkk5i

 I want couple of things:

1. Check if there is any hidden menu - all extra option help for me (especially I want to set the video memory reservation - because now only very small and can not set by user)

2. I want if you check if there any whitelist if yes, do some removal to use any card

Thx. (Donation garanteed.)

Try to flash 1st using Sleep Bug . . .

Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

Then if You get Error follow instructions included to flash form USB Stick
Booting in Pure DOS !

Hi mate,
I gave the Bios Mod :

http://rghost.net/8hxJdDQ8L

It is not flashable directly as errors etc. so i suggested to use the
FlaseClock method to modify only some variables into varStore !
On otherside You have to use teh Tools (SPI PGM + Clip) to read
the Full Dump Firmware and upload It for me then I will patch It
and you will rewrite back by SPI PGM !
Let me know
Regards
