[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad T540p (GMETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#21
No You need to read the Eeprom Chip to get Full Dump Firmware and I will make a
Mod on It !
This is ony Region Bios and It's only a part of firmware, if You try to flash It into Eeprom
You risk to corrupt the firmware conletely !
Regards

here you can view the videos showing how to disassembly the laptop: https://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/showcase?sid=463&key=TGVuZw==
the bios chips are on the top part of the mother board (under the keybord) -> you must completely remove the motherboard from the chases. I also did a repaste for the heatsink as the paste from the lenovo was crappy and badly applied.
the top part of the motherboard where the chips are is in the first file, the second one shows detail of chips.gl.

Looks like I'm in the same boat as everyone else, i purchased a Intel 7260 Dual Band Wireless AC card. LINK Getting the unathorized message.  Looking for a way to unwhitelist the bios to allow this card.  I really don't feel like finding a lenovo FRU stamped version and dealing with all that.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

this may be a duplicate thread as i posted in the wrong sub category, mods you can delete my first post:

Hi! I want to remove the whitelist on the BIOS of my ThinkPad T540p. I'm installing a BCM94352Z card and getting an 1802 error on boot.
My BIOS version is GMET85WW (2.33) and I have a type 20BE-003AUS model. I don't know what other info I need to upload is.
I'm currently running macOS Sierra, but I can also use Windows 10 if need be.
