To flash this Bios Mod You need to flash It over Downgrade to v.1.13 or 1.14
as eeprom Chip is Write Protected.

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the Option (BIOS Back Flash) in bios that
enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

Nop

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working !

Use Sleep Bug to flash this one . . .

Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

I need to do this if possible to my y50 70 uhd. I will donate. I currently downgraded to 1.14. I also changed my DVMT using a UEFI shell if that is a problem. My gtx 960m doesn't work on 1.14 and im dualbooting osx and windows. Heres my results. Thank you https://www.sendspace.com/file/yyunqf

The latest Discovery about Recover Bios after a Black Screen for Video Card :

The simplest solution worked!
For future reference, the trick was to find the right combo of keys:

F2 to boot into BIOS then F9 - ENTER - F10 - ENTER

1. F2 go to Bios
2. F9 follwed by + Enter Key
3. F10 follwed by + Enter Key

Hey Looking for some help getting my y-50-70 bios unlocked and white list removed.
I think I need to downgrade from my current bios version v2.02. This version of the laptop has the gtx960m. I was hoping to be able to get overclocking control and wasnt sure if I needed to do anything else.

Here is my current bios dump. Let me know if I need to downgrade and do another bios dump.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/509ovk

Thanks!
