https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-L...ble?page=3

So Who say the true ? BDMaster , I think and these ere the body of evidence !

Memory Frequency Unlock (CodeRush, Xfd, BDMaster) :

54519AE4-C284-42A8-901C-AF2132999E32_16.ROM SandyBridgePhx.efi

1810 : 8B85C8FCFFFF8B480966C741013505C685C2FCFFFF0C to 660F1F4400000F1F00660F1F4400000F1F800000

54519AE4-C284-42A8-901C-AF2132999E32_16.ROM SandyBridgePhx.efi = RAM Speed (check for 0x535h (decimal 1333) Mhz Frequencies)

181E : 8B 95 C8 FC FF FF to 66 0F 1F 44 00 00 mov eax, [ebp+var_338] to nop word ptr [eax+eax+00h]

1824 : 8B 42 09 to 0F 1F 00 mov eax, [ebp+var_338] to nop dword ptr [eax]

1827 : 66 C7 41 01 35 05 to 66 0F 1F 44 00 00 mov word ptr [ecx+1], 535h to nop word ptr [eax+eax+00h]

182D : C6 85 C2 FC FF FF 0C to 0F 1F 80 00 00 00 00 mov [ebp+var_33E], 0Ch to nop dword ptr [eax+00000000h]

(O:1810:660F1F440000)
(O:1816:0F1F00)
(O:1819:660F1F440000
(O:181F:0F1F8000000000)

Original

.text:FFD3A8A2 mov edx, [ebp+var_338]
.text:FFD3A8A8 mov eax, [edx+9]
.text:FFD3A8AB mov word ptr [eax+1], 535h
.text:FFD3A8B1 mov [ebp+var_33E], 0Ch

Modified

.text:FFD3A8A2 nop word ptr [eax+eax+00h]
.text:FFD3A8A8 nop dword ptr [eax]
.text:FFD3A8AB nop word ptr [eax+eax+00h]
.text:FFD3A8B1 nop dword ptr [eax+00000000h]

So just noped these instructions We will get the Frequencies Unlock !

Look well the post :

At that date OLEH was none inexsistent so HE COPIED AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN !!!
Regards

It's only a Memory Speed unlocking Trick !

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-Th...d-p/834329

From Bios v.1.29 above Lenovo locked RAM Speed so to get again higher speed was copied a Module Code chunck
to unlock as before RAM Speed !
No RSA Key replaced (there isn't any public RSA Key Lenovo or Others) and to reflash Bios Mod is used a
Winflash version Patched (DLL cracked = environment.dll) by Serg008 !

Memory Frequency Unlock (Xfd) :

54519AE4-C284-42A8-901C-AF2132999E32_16.ROM SandyBridgePhx.efi

1810 : 8B85C8FCFFFF8B480966C741013505C685C2FCFFFF0C to 660F1F4400000F1F00660F1F4400000F1F8000000000

That's all Mod !

Thanks for showing me the page with all HP BIOS upgrades to this machine. I checked the changelogs, and noticed that SATA3 support is enabled back from version F.28. Also, there are various improvements and bugfixes in the later versions.

I was wondering that since later versions then f.21 are RSA protected, is it possible to mod the latest (F.60) , or only the version F.21, and below?

It would be better to start with the most possible recent one what can be modded because of all the fixes...

The interesting is that when this machine got to me it had F.27, i checked. Then i reverted back to F.21 without problems! I wanted now to update to F.60, because it has SATA3 support, and maybe RAID0 is working but here is the interesting issue now: The official updater does not enable to ubdate because of the model mismatch that you've pointed out! It says exactly that my system is 68SSU and the update is for 68SOU! I've tried numerous versions from F.22, but no one will update my system BC of the mismatch. Very interesting, because i had f.27 wich is 68SOU, and when i reverted, the model mismatch did not caused a problem.

Anyway, in a few days i will obtain an SPI PGM, dump the whole chip for backup, and can try to experiment.

Thanks! But i do not understand correctly, why do i need to recover now?
The F.21 is working what is on it right now. The official F.01 would be good to downgrade, because it has higher ram speeds!
