Hi. I'm new to this forum but I'm glad I found it.
I have a problem with my BIOS. Basically the main problem is that it is proprietary software. But I can't do anything about it for the time being.
It is an old Award BIOS version 4.51. And it has the large HDD problem. I tried to find a patched version but I don't think there is one. So I extracted the contents. It's 2 Mbit (256 kByte). The motherboard is a QDI ZillioX 5. With intel 440ZX.
What I'd like to know is: is there a patched version of this BIOS?
And in case there isn't (most likely) how can I extract the compressed parts? Can I use CBROM to extract and decompress? Is there some kind of low level information about the BIOS?
