Hi BDMaster, thanks for the last info with the U disk.
I did not try it out so far but found a workaround for the "Novo" button not working problem:
- Install Grub boot manager
- Flash to 1.14, so you can use the sleep bug to flash a custom bios.
- Flash to unlocked 3.03 you provided using sleep bug as described in previous posts
- Use Fn + F12 key to get into boot menu and select the grub partition for booting (flashing did reset it for me to boot into windows immediately, might be different for others)
- In Grub, select the "system setup" option. This will make the laptop reboot with some kind of flag set, entering bios immediately after booting, thus eliminating the need for the Novo key
- you will then be able to do bios changes as usual
This allows me to use the modified 3.03 bios on Lenovo Y70-70 !
Only downside is I can not use the lenovo recovery feature from power off, just launch it using windows.
For me that's totally ok compared to fiddling with the hardware
We aren't magicians and users have to find right way to solve some results !
Let me know
Regards
