Is this backup good, or i need to make another one with some specific tool?

Old card is Broadcom BCM43142
New card is Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235

And question: In other topics with requests for this laptop, were mentions for unlocked hidden settings and recomendations not to touch settings for GPU. What exactly that settings can do, and if you can unlock and lock particular parameters, why not to just hide harmful ones?

I have located the module with the whitelist, and identified the existing wifi card, and some other wifi cards listed. I could easily change one of the whitelisted device IDs to match the 7260 i want to install.

Can I just make the adjustment to my backup, and let phoenix tool repack it?

If I can do that, does anyone know the proper method to flash the repacked (modified) backup?

Also, if anyone has a copy of an HRET25-WW modified backup with the whitelist disabled, it would be a great help to where I could disable the check completely rather than just adding a new card to the whitelist.

Hi,
I want to ask if is possible to prepare modded rom for my E545, bios version 1.13 . My notebook ends with this 1802 error, still with original wlan card!
Maybe card is bad, but if so, I don't want spend so much money for original Lenovo new one.

Still no luck.  Original Wi-fi card refuses to work in original E545, I try it in different notebook, there works fine.
Lenovo support said it occasionally happens, and thay cannot help me, and that they are not suppose to say that, but there is "unofficial" method by modding bios :-)

So, please, could somebody help me with this? I almost going crazy from LAN cables... Thanks!

I tried to replace my Realtek RTL8188E with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 and receiving the 1802 error. Would you be able to remove the whitelist from my BIOS?
