LGA771 Bios Microcode for HP dc7800 sff
#41
And can you reflash native BIOS 1.28 on second motherboard and make new BIOS backup?
P.S. I'd like to see a foto with F1 message when Xeon starts first time.

So. I prepared moded BIOS image with injected 1076A plat 2,6 microcode and flashed it by CH341A. After PC start, CPU fan worked normal, and i think "It's great, it's works", but after saving changes and reboot result was same like previous. I think maybe X3363 not supported by this motherbord, or cause not related CPUID microcodes. It's very strange, because X3363 equal Q9550, and Q9550 work normaly on this PC.

https://youtu.be/gUHwgTg7UV8  - first start with X3363

You overwrote microcode with wrong length (larger then previous) and broke correct structure of microcode. Header on offset = 0x2A0000
So BIOS freezes at startup...
Please check it:

And I still need additional information:

No. I replaced 6F5 and 6F6 (total length 2000 and start from 0X2A040) microcode by 1067A. I flashed by CH341A your mod and results was same - after saving change system not responde. Anyway, without necessary microcode, system must boot OS. I erased from the ROM any microcode install Q8200 CPU and system was booted with POST error 1801-microcode error (CPU fan worked on full speed).

Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to take PC with 1.28, since it in use by other man.

In the header of microcode (attached BIOS) I see link to microcode with offsets 0x2A0040, 0x2A1040, 0x2A2040 and so on.
You "erased from the ROM any microcode" and Q8200 booted and X3363 don't... I don't understand it.
Did you verify my mod3?

The system boot normal without any microcodes in ROM and with any other CPU, only display a message "1801 - unknown CPU" after POST. With X3363 the same, but after saving change and restart, the system stops responding. Yes, i verified your mod3. Any attempts to flash any modified BIOS image by standart tools leads to broken BIOS image error and recovery to original BIOS image.

Bad news. Did you try to boot X3363 with external graphics card (e.g. PCI-E or PCI) with unplugged all SATA devices? With native BIOS. And only one DIMM.
