[REQUEST] Acer Aspire V3-571(G) BIOS Unlock
(09-06-2015, 10:56 AM)BDMaster Wrote: Ok I want just to explain that You are lucky as used Generalized version !
So these Bioses Modded didn't modify your Bios DMI Data and You din't lose any
laptop information (Windows license too) !
I know all these Bioses Mods and I am happy You have experimented by yourself !
Next time will be better ask before as remember using Bios Mod form different
users create a Laptop CLONE !
Regards

Lol I had no idea things like this may happen hah. All I wanted is to install Win 10 on my laptop.

Btw Im experiencing a problem with playback HD videos, seems like my laptop is throttling a bit. (Every now and then) It looks that the video pauses for half, up to one second and then tries to catch up to the playback by speeding it up for a bit. Its pretty annoying, was not happening before I updated the BIOS.

Hello,

I have an Aspire V3-571 laptop currently running bios 1.13

Problem is I want to install windows 10 on this laptop in UEFI mode (I'm upgrading the wireless card, memory and HDD to an SSD as well), . Apparently to do this the bios has to be upgraded from 1.x to 2.x (current version is 2.21) but Acer has locked down the version I have of the Aspire V3-571 to only accept bios 1.13.

I was reading elsewhere that this can be unlocked or accept modified bios file to fix this problem.

Current bios 1.13 (not sure if these links are gonna work)
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...&SC=AAP_10

Bios i would like to be able to upgrade to 2.21
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...&SC=AAP_10

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You need tools are voltagemeter, oscillograph to diagnostic this problem.
You may ask disable discrete Nvidia in repair services. It is cheapest solution in your cause.
You may overheated GT640M so it can be bricked Sad
